Ross Seline may not have physically been there Saturday for the 53rd annual Evergreen Rodeo Parade, but his spirit was alive and well in downtown Evergreen.
Some of Seline’s ashes traveled through the streets in the saddlebag of a horse in the parade, serving as a tribute to the Evergreen resident and longtime Rotarian and Evergreen Rodeo Association member. He died last September.
As the parade began its initial descent into Evergreen, announcer Doug Mathis took a moment to recognize Seline and his contributions to the Evergreen Rodeo and the community at large.
Despite this somber touch, the Evergreen Rodeo Parade is mostly a lot of fun. People pack the streets of downtown Evergreen for the parade, which includes marching bands, floats, horses, antique cars, farm equipment and more.
