County staff is anticipating $1.7 million in capital projects for 2020 with the biggest item being an $811,000 updated security camera and ID card system, requested both by the Sheriff’s Office and the IT department.
During a June 18 work session, County Manager Keith Montag and other staff members presented the county commissioners with a list of recommended capital projects for 2020. No formal action was made, with Montag clarifying that any projects would be formally adopted as part of the 2020 budgeting process.
The recommended projects, which were reviewed by a committee comprised of staff members, also included a new transfer station haul truck for $188,000 and two replacement sheriff patrol vehicles for $125,000.
