The July 4 Evergreen Music Festival had something for everyone — and it was just plain fun.
Live music from bluegrass to folk to pop filled the air at the Buchanan Fields for seven hours, while attendees sat under tents or in the brilliant sun, soaking in the ambience and the music.
Add food and libations, and the Evergreen Music Festival was the perfect community celebration of Independence Day.
Proceeds from the event are donated to the Evergreen High School performing arts departments, and the school’s instrumental music, choral music and improvisational group were part of the lineup.
This year, nearly 3,000 people attended the event, a 10 percent increase over last year, according to Cheri Rubin, the music festival’s president.
