Venue executive director brings a wealth of theater knowledge

For Lora Haimes, there’s just something special about watching kids gain confidence through theater.


“I love watching them come in and how they progress and develop through the experience,” she said. “I’ve just seen kids who come in, you know, looking at their shoes.

“... The next thing you know, by the end of the teaching, they are confident and their shoulders are back. They’re on stage … and projecting their voice,” Haimes said. “... That’s my absolute favorite part — what it does for the kids.”

As the newest executive director of The Venue Theatre in Conifer, Haimes will have plenty of opportunities to witness these magical moments.
