Morrison residents are happy with just about everything but the traffic in town, according to the recently released results of a town survey conducted by Denver-based Corona Insights.

The mail-based surveys, conducted in May, went to all residents and businesses in the town of Morrison. The town provided 137 residential addresses and 41 business addresses.

Corona received 96 usable responses from residents representing 72 households as well as five responses from Bear Creek Nursing residents and 18 responses from business owners.

Of the 96 usable resident responses received, approximately 97 percent of residents rated the quality of life as excellent or good and 95 percent said Morrison is an excellent or good place to live. Furthermore, 86 percent of residents who responded said they were satisfied with town services, including the Morrison Police Department and water and sewage services.

One of the biggest takeaways from the town survey is the divide between residents and businesses located in the downtown business district, particularly when it comes to the direction of Morrison and the overall feeling toward town government.

Makes sense, everyone is tired of traffic in Colorado. It used to only be the major holidays but now it seems like every day has jams, especially on weekends going to the mountains.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
