A 61-year-old Evergreen man was arrested Sunday after a bomb scare in the El Rancho area.
Michael Longfellow is being held on suspicion of felony false reporting of explosives, weapons or harmful substances, according to the arrest affidavit.
He appeared in court Monday morning, during which time his bond was set at $2,000, and he was appointed a public defender. He will be back in court on Aug. 23 to be advised of charges against him, according to Pam Russell, Jeffco district attorney’s office spokeswoman.
