Two killed in fatal C-470 crash

Two people have died in a crash on C-470 in South Jeffco that closed both sides of the highway, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The fiery accident, which occurred just east of the Bowles Avenue exit at about 11 a.m., shut down the road between U.S. 285 and West Ken Caryl Avenue as well as the C-470 bike trail. The eastbound side of the roadway reopened around 2:20 p.m., while the westbound side reopened shortly before 7 p.m.
