Conifer lots sold off in auction

The auction for 56 lots in Conifer happened quickly, and dozens were sold before the seller ended the auction prematurely.

Although there are 56 lots in total, Williams and Williams Real Estate Auctions, an Oklahoma-based real estate company, sold the lots in 27 groups. All were at least 1 acre with some closer to 7 acres. The properties, located east of Wamblee Trail in Conifer, are in recorded plats; some are in Whispering Pines 1, but most are in Whispering Pines 2, according to planning supervisor Russ Clark.

The majority of the first groupings sold during the auction, ranging from a purchasing price as high as $50,000 to one as low as $6,000. Although several of the buyers did so online, many of those who attended the auction or purchased in person were Conifer residents who lived close to the property.
