Evergreen food truck receives counterfeit bill

Ricky’s Island Style Café in Evergreen has seen its first counterfeit $20 bill, and the owners say it’s important that area businesses and residents know about it.

Owners Kelly Imoe and Ricky Seepaul, who operate the food truck in the parking lot by the Evergreen Christian Outreach Resale Shop, received the bill during their lunch-hour rush. They don’t know who gave it to them.

Imoe contacted both the Evergreen and Conifer chambers of commerce, and put the word out on the area’s Facebook page for business owners. She plans to file a report with the Jeffco Sheriff’s Office.
