Many things have changed in Idaho Springs during the past few years, but officials hope these changes have only helped to make the city more walkable, more connected and friendlier for visitors and residents alike.
On Thursday, stakeholders from multiple organizations marked the end of the most recent chapter — completing a 2-mile section of the Clear Creek Greenway through Idaho Springs. The city hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the bridge near Courtney-Ryley-Cooper Park before hosting the annual Take Back Our City cookout at Citizens Park.
The Greenway is now complete from the roundabout on the east end of Idaho Springs to Interstate 70’s exit 239, including two bridges over Clear Creek.
