Open Door Studios allows art lovers to learn about area artists

While most art shows are about buying art, Open Door Studios is really about creating art.

That’s because the show last weekend had art lovers traveling to 33 locations in Evergreen, Kittredge, Indian Hills and Morrison to see artists creating art in their home studios.

Since the tour began in 2002, it has grown to a well-orchestrated tour featuring 33 artists working in more than a dozen different media. The artists are enthused to tell others about how they work and why they do it.
