Families venture to Chatfield Farms for its annual Pumpkin Festival

Thousands of people checked out thousands of pumpkins Sunday at Chatfield Farms’ Pumpkin Festival.


Families perused the orange gourds lying in a seven-acre field just waiting to be taken home and turned into jack-o-lanterns. Others tried out the corn maze, the plethora of food trucks and kids games, or sat on the grass listening to live music.

It was a perfect day for a fall celebration.

[Chris Krabbenhoeft] said the Pumpkin Festival has been a fall staple at Chatfield Farms for the past 20 years, and each year, more and more people come to enjoy the grounds and the activities.
