A convention of Jacks embarked on Idaho Springs’ Citizens Park.
They sat patiently on the brick walls as people walked by, and hoped that someone would befriend them and give them a home.
Some lucky ones would find a home, where they’ll subsequently have their squishy insides pulled out, their faces carved off and a candle stuck in them. Only then did they reach their potentials as Jacks — jack-o’-lanterns, that is.
The Idaho Springs Chamber of Commerce hosted its second annual pumpkin patch Saturday at the park, where dozens of pumpkins were offered in various sizes and colors. Several locals stopped by in search of some great pumpkins for their fall festivities.
