If the Clear Creek Greenway is going to be built through segments of the county, there will need to be some compromises and out-of-the-box solutions, county staff said.
According to County Transportation Liaison Amy Saxton, county staff is proposing a new design for the greenway along County Road 314 near the game check station. The new design — called the 8-2-11-11-2 design — would be an 8-foot wide sidewalk and two 2-foot wide bike lanes on either side of the two 11-foot wide vehicle lanes.
The project to build a half-mile of the greenway and pave County Road 314 is expected to cost $8 million to $10 million, she said.
