The man who has been called the cornerstone of Center for the Arts Evergreen heard at his retirement party about how much he will be missed.

Steve Sumner, CAE’s executive director, is retiring at the end of December to make time for creating his own art, traveling and spending more time with his family. For 12 years, Sumner has made his mark on the Evergreen arts community, while Evergreen has made its mark on Sumner.

It was a festive party filled with many hugs as Evergreen lauded Sumner for helping to solidify and move the arts community forward.
