Diversity Day at Conifer High School aims to share all perspectives

In the art room at Conifer High School, dozens of students sit, intently focused on creating colorful mandalas, each a unique expression of the artist’s personality.

The activity, part of Conifer’s fourth Diversity Day on Friday, is exactly what art therapy is all about to workshop leader Pat Andres, the former art teacher at West Jefferson Elementary School. Art transcends boundaries.

“Everyone can access art,” she said.
