Idaho Springs’ tree lighting kicks off holiday season

’Twas the Saturday after Thanksgiving, when all through the town, the wind was blowing hard, making quite the sound.


The lights were all hung ‘round the branches with care, in hopes that the holiday season soon would be there.

With the kids in their kerchiefs and the adults in their caps, they had just woken from their Thanksgiving naps.

When out in Citizens Park there arose such a clatter, because the wind kept gusting — that was the matter.
