Thunder Mountain Chocolate
Making chocolates is very much about science, and that’s precisely why Paul Brantner enjoys it so much.

Alongside his grandson, Brantner makes chocolates, many of which are infused with CBD, in a workshop in Conifer. The business, called Thunder Mountain Chocolate, has been open since March. The chocolate is sold in a number of local establishments, such as Mountain Serenity Salon, The Well at Bradford Junction and Conifer Vapor.

His business in Conifer looks a lot like a lab — because it is one. Brantner and his grandson Mitchell Hawley are constantly testing new flavors and trying new things.

Bio One takes care of any mess
A home with a floor covered in crushed beer cans. Another contaminated with leprosy. Yet another where a family of raccoons broke in, wreaking havoc while the homeowner was on vacation.

Through their time as co-owners of Bio One, Hope and Dan Paffe have seen it all.

Although the couple have been doing the work for a while, they recently moved to Conifer and opened a local franchise of the national biohazard cleanup company. At Bio One, they take care of anything from mold remediation to crime scene cleanup, hoarding cleanouts and more.
