Toy joy: Conifer celebrates 37th Christmas parade

Saturday may have been Conifer’s 37th annual Christmas celebration, but Stephen Cronk strolled down Sutton Road in a Viking helmet hours before the floats started moving.

Upon understanding the event’s March of Toys theme, the costume made a lot more sense. Cronk and four others from Conifer Community Church dressed as characters from “Toy Story.” Cronk, who is an annual parade attendee, wore the Viking hat while others dressed as Woody, Buzz Lightyear and more. Kids hunted for the characters prior to the parade.

“It’s a pretty good time,” Cronk said.

The March of Toys theme may have lent itself to some nontraditional attire, but the event was still filled with festive fun.
