New captain brings education background to Clear Creek EMS

Alec Giroir started working with emergency services because he loves helping people receive the care they need. And he loves working in Clear Creek County because of its generous people and natural beauty.

“It’s a unique place because it’s not too far from the metro area, but … it holds onto the pride of being a small, tight-knit community,” he said.

For the past three months, Giroir has been helping Clear Creek County not only as a paramedic but as the newest captain of Clear Creek EMS.

The agency is led by three captains — Giroir, Ed Smith and Bryon Monseu — each with a unique focus along with handling day-to-day administrative duties.
