The U.S. Forest Service’s Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests are closing certain developed recreation sites and campgrounds to align with state measures to contain COVID-19.
Closures will be in place until at least April 30, when they will be re-evaluated, the agency said in a press release Thursday.
All National Forest restrooms will be closed, including those at trailheads. Picnic areas and day-use areas typically open in the spring will be closed as well, which includes the warming hut on Berthoud Pass and the Squaw Mountain Fire Lookout.
