As soon as the preschool teachers at Wilmot Elementary School learned that schools would close, they jumped into action.

“It’s a little bit different for remote learning with preschoolers because we don’t do electronics,” Wilmot preschool teacher Danielle Krajewski said.

Although they are adapting and coordinating some electronic activities, including regular e-mail check-ins with parents and weekly Google Meetups where they read books or sing songs, Krajewski said they felt it was important to provide families with supplies to continue learning and playing at home. Because of this, the group of preschool teachers filled bags with supplies and left them at Wilmot for families to pick up.

The bags contain a variety of materials, including chalk, homemade play dough, counting blocks, worksheets, markers, paints and more.
