Evergreen High School senior starts business making, selling knives

A forge and an anvil have been the perfect gifts for knife-maker Jeff Armitage.

“I was so excited,” the Evergreen High School senior said of the forge he received last Christmas and the anvil he received for his birthday. He has started a business called Ferro Knives, and he makes the knives in his workshop in his mother’s garage.

Armitage has been making knives for four years but only recently has gotten to the point where he can sell them. He’s been creating his business with the help of a mentor for the capstone program at EHS.
