Hillman arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, harassment

Idaho Springs Mayor Mike Hillman was arrested Friday afternoon on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal mischief and harassment.


The District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Hillman was held in the county jail overnight until his first court appearance Saturday morning, where he was advised of his rights. He was then released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

Idaho Springs Mayor Mike Hillman has pleaded guilty to criminal mischief, a Class 3 misdemeanor, and received a year of supervised probation for an April 17 domestic violence incident.

According to a statement from the DA’s Office on Friday, Hillman will be required to complete a domestic violence treatment program and pay $841.50 in court costs and fees.
