Conifer’s Venue Theatre opts to host virtual rehearsals

Theater is about much more than the time an actor spends on stage. It’s about connecting with castmates and forming bonds with other actors.


For that reason, the Venue Theatre in Conifer has been hosting virtual rehearsals for actors of all ages. Despite a change in plans, the theater company was adamant that the show must go on.

This is exactly why Nelson Conway founded the Venue in 2013. Realizing how much it means to the kids — and the instructors — is enough to make him emotional. Hosting rehearsals virtually isn’t simple. It would be easy for the actors to call it quits, but they’re the ones pushing to continue. As much as people are isolated at this time, they’re also coming together.
