Idaho Springs looking at budget cuts, assembling recovery task force

Everything from holiday decorations and office supplies to pay cuts and furloughs is on the table in Idaho Springs’ budget cut discussions.

While the city doesn’t know yet how COVID-19 has impacted its sales-tax revenues, City Administrator Andy Marsh said he’s anticipating an 85 to 90 percent loss for April. The city should receive data on its March revenues this month but won’t receive data about its April revenues until early June, Marsh explained.
