Chuck Ridings and John Porter have been elected to the Evergreen Fire/Rescue board of directors.
According to unofficial election results Tuesday night, Ridings, a State Farm insurance agent, received the most votes of the six candidates with 340. John Porter, owner of the Evergreen Bread Lounge and a retired volunteer firefighter, received 260 votes, the second highest total.
They beat incumbent Dave Christensen and candidates John Putt, Jeff Genender and Wayne Hazeldine.
