Conifer HS seniors get one last hurrah with a graduation parade

It certainly wasn’t what anyone planned for, but Conifer High School celebrated its 2020 graduates in what’s become typical quarantine style — with a parade around the school.

Following trucks from Elk Creek Fire Department, cars decked out with streamers, balloons, congratulatory signs and window paint paraded past Conifer High School on Saturday and made several trips up and down the road leading to the school.

Teachers and staff from a variety of mountain-area schools lined the parade path, cheering on the students who may not get to have a traditional graduation ceremony. They held signs and waved flags.
