Clear Creek asks state to allow its outdoor tourism industry to open

Clear Creek County hopes to have a more normal summer with rafting, zip lining, ATV tours, train rides and other outdoor tourism activities.

The county has submitted a variance application to the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment to allow Clear Creek guides and outfitters to operate with restrictions.

It also submitted one for places of worship.

County officials hope CDPHE will make a decision by the end of this week.
