Area veterinarians find new normal in treating animals

Area veterinarians are using their best curbside manner to treat their four-legged patients since the COVID-19 pandemic started nearly three months ago.

To meet state and county mandates, vet offices have been using new protocols that include meeting clients outside, taking the pets in, performing the exams and other procedures inside, and then returning the pets to their owners in the parking lot.

“Our service to the animals has not changed,” said veterinarian Jeff Danielson, owner of Kittredge Animal Clinic. “In fact, we have become a little more efficient, but the tricky thing is for pet owners, who worry about their pets when they’re inside.”
