The Evergreen Metropolitan District has declared a Stage 1 drought because of low flow in Bear Creek and is asking people to curtail water usage.
EMD is asking residents to water grass and plants before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m., that watering zones operated for irrigation take place no more than 30 minutes per day three days a week and that public greenspace such as ballfields be watered no more than three days a week.
