Conifer chamber executive director leaving for new job

Melanie Swearengin, the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce executive director, is leaving her position at the end of the month to join RPM Insurance Agency in Evergreen.

Swearengin, 45, who has been with the chamber for six-and-a-half years, said while she has loved working at the chamber, she was ready for the next challenge.

“My background is in finance,” she explained, “and this sounded interesting and exciting.”

Her last day is April 30, and the Conifer chamber is devising a plan to search for a new executive director.
