At 11:50 p.m. on Friday, December 2, Jefferson County deputies took Titus Emilyon (DOB 03/06/84) into custody on suspicion of committing a burglary spree that occurred between 11:17 – 11:27 p.m. that evening in Kittredge. Three businesses were burglarized between Hill Top Drive and the 25900 block of Highway 74. After gaining entry by smashing glass doors, the suspect took cash registers from the businesses.

While responding to alarms at two of the businesses, deputies were on the lookout for a suspect vehicle believed to be associated with at least one other burglary spree that occurred in early November. Deputies located the suspect vehicle – a 2008 silver Ford Escape – parked along Highway 74, less than two miles west of Friday night’s burglaries. Emilyon was in the driver’s seat and was taken into custody after broken glass was seen on his person, a discarded cash register was located a short distance away, and other evidence was found both inside and outside the vehicle.

Emilyon currently faces charges related to six burglaries: the three from December 2, and three others that were reported around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2 in the 29000 block of Upper Bear Creek. He is facing the following charges: six (6) counts of 2nd Degree Burglary, six (6) counts of 3rd Degree Burglary, Felony Criminal Mischief, and Misdemeanor Theft. Emilyon has a history of commercial burglaries and was on parole for a burglary conviction when he was arrested.

JCSO investigators have been investigating almost twenty other commercials burglaries that have occurred in unincorporated Jefferson County dating back to October 30, 2022. Whether Emilyon is responsible for these additional burglaries has not been determined yet. Investigators are also working with Clear Creek and Boulder County Sheriff’s Offices, as well as other jurisdictions, to determine if recent commercial burglaries that occurred in their jurisdictions may also be connected.
