So, now we know who you think the trolls might be. You think that the trolls (conservatives) will pull out the "liberal/socialist" card.
What does FWB stand for? "Free White Bricklayers"?

Selective quoting and cutting out important operative words is another clear sign of a troll. Everyone here knows that SC is a liberal. It was obvious to anyone with half a brain that the point of the entire sentence was that she was addressing the entire political spectrum.

That was not obvious. What was obvious is that she was addressing the conservatives.

I did not cut out any words or phrases which would change the meaning of her statement.

LOL, way to cherry-pick one piece of a comment and take it out of context Arlen. If you look at the rest of the sentence in which I said that (below), I also say that "I see it happening on both sides of the aisle", and my big grin smiley face after the "don't even think of pulling out the liberal/socialist or FWB cards out" indicates that I'm making a joke. I've never hidden that I have more liberal tendencies than conservative, but that matters not a whit when it comes to how this site is moderated because both liberals and conservatives have been moderated. For evidence of that, please see the sig line in the last post of page 1 of this thread by UNDER MODERATION , aka Vice Lord (and I identify him only because he's made no effort to hide himself). See also this thread of his on 285Bound (the 1st posts on Pg 1 & 2 are my favorite, he's so sweet  ) Now if I only moderated conservatives, he'd still be here harassing everyone, wouldn't he?

As to your other question, that was asked by Chickaree on page 3 : and there's only one member here to whom that would apply and it gets him no special consideration either. :LMAO:

I understand the frustrations, I've seen the comments in various threads that this site is going to hell in a hand basket, and I see this happening on both sides of the political aisle so don't even think of pulling the liberal/socialist or FWB cards out, but from my standpoint of wanting everyone to be happy and have fun here, yet realizing that with freedom of speech comes freedom of speech, I thought I'd share my personal tips of dealing with those with whom you don't agree.

Note: this thread was originally titled The Stupid Things You Do Online (and How to Fix Them), but is being renamed in an effort to assist everyone more effectively.

OK, I'll bow to the mild "liberal/socialist or FWB cards out" reference of yours, because the only cards that liberal/socialist will pull would put this thread into the Ring.

By the way, "trolling" is a fishing term. It is a method of fishing in which bait is pulled behind a boat.
Trolling is also conducted by moderators and others to keep conversation going. If a person responds to this trolling, it is quite unfair to then call that responder a troll.

I never troll.

I simply see and take advantage of opportunities in threads to post something that might cause an emotional reaction in some other people on the forum, thus spurring them into responding and increasing the entertainment value of the thread.

I did not see any "sarcasm" tags in your post so I will say that you have just defined the meaning of trolling. Pulling bait behind the boat to lure a response and increase the entertainment value of the troll as he fills his livewell.
