We all like to be appreciated and acknowledged when we help support others, or provide useful information. We can now do that in an easy way!
Under each post is a Thank You button. Whenever someone offers helpful advice, lets us know something we didn't know before, gives us sympathy or comfort in a time of loss, or makes us laugh tell them Thank You!
Before the click:
After the click:
Should you hit the button accidentally, you can remove the Thank You by clicking the little red circle with the white X in it behind your username (circled in purple).
Edit to add:
You can see which members have received the most Thank Yous by clicking on More Statistics at the bottom right hand corner of the forum index.
We're still researching how to display additional statistics; not sure if we'll be able to show a list of each members' posts that were Thanked, but definitely should be able to show some other results. Stay tuned!
With previous software updates, the button to thank other members for posts has moved locations. When you have a topic open and are reading through the replies, you should find it below each member's reply and can click to say "Thank you" or click again to remove that thank you.
If you click the "More" button under a member's avatar (where it says "Less" in the screen shot below, as the "More" opened what was below), you'll find how many thank yous they've received total.
