I was on the roads at about 5:00 am. There was not one freakin plow out there. It was like driving in 4" of wet concrete. I got to a parking lot that had been plowed - it was easy driving there.

It's like the person in charge of the plows woke up, looked out and thought "Wow. what's the white stuff?" Then had a cup of coffee and suddenly thought "OH! snow! We need to do something about that!"

School busses 20-30 minutes late (my son's bus was 40 minutes late). Accidents everywhere, Accident alert called, all becuase there were no plows.

Driving from Fairplay to Breckenridge this morning...not one plow was seen, either on the road or parked in an area beside it.

Road conditions were not as bad as I thought they'd be and were worse in Park County than in Summit County. Blowing, wet snow still coming down, they're predicting until 9 or 10 this morning.

I don't know whether this contributed or not, but the NWS cancelled the Winter Weather Advisory for Jefferson County above 6000' and Northeast Park County below 9000' at 3:01 AM today.

When we left the BOCC meeting about 11:00 am, the wind was so strong it took three people to open the door.

Then, 285 to Kenosha Pass was closed so we had to come through Breck and I-70.

That wind was brutal over there. Gotta love South Park

Waiting for the RTD bus this morning at PJ, I saw two plows headed northbound and two plows headed southbound. This was between 5:25 and 5:45. Then I saw saw a couple more on my lovely drive down the hill. :VeryScared:
