Speaking of phones......thought I'd share this little tale from the Fairbanks Newsminers police blotter (from a decade or so ago).......
Place called Chena Hot Spgs.just out side of Fairbanks. WAS just some old cabins, shacks and so alot of room to just "be". Police get
a call from a concerned "neighbor" saying heard shots fired from another cabin a ways away. Police dispatched out to investigate.
Knock on cabin door......wait........grizzily guy with beard answers the door........Police,"We had a report of shots being fired, just wanted
to make sure all was ok?" Grizzily guy......"Ah,hell yes, just got pissed at my lawyer and shot the phone of the wall."......Grizzily Guy opens the door real wide.....sure enough, and old black wall phone was dangling from the wall, shattered and black cord just swinging
away...."ok,then,well,Good Nite to you.".....police departed.
