Our sun is orange today from smoke.

I will try and get a pic sometime today. Sounds like it is from the fires down south.

We were on Mt Evens taking pictures today and you could smell the smoke. I talked to a ranger and he said that it was from fires in Arizons / New Mexico. It was strong enough up there that my eyes burned.

Should be a nice sunset.

Sailors may not be around a lot of wildfires , but my mother and grandmother taught me that saying, and AFAIK their only sailing experience was immigrating here. Of course, sailing is somewhat in the blood of Finns

In my experience the red at night is nearly always right, the red in the morn may be affected by other influences.
