They are very nice people and probably aren't aware of how the slash is affecting you. Talk to them and I am sure they will address the problem.
bumper sticker - honk if you will pay my mortgage
"The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." attributed to Margaret Thatcher
"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson
That does seem to be the simple "responsibility for dummies" solution - - Been There, Done that - it still sits in the sun 2 weeks later.
And she's had paid landscapers/handyman to work on her property, twice in that time frame; that I have seen. Out of sight, out of mind - another definition of unconscious!
Very nice people is most definitely, in my experience, Debatable - perhaps nice to guests -
Ok if that isn't working, how about putting a note on her door to check out this website and this thread and how it will affect her business. Maybe she will get it that way.

I will think you will find that there is nothing you can do.
While yes, it is an eye sore we had our property mitigated through a grant our subdivision got and they did not come burn the slash until about a year later (little more than a year).
We had people come and give us a quote to chip the slash and it was going to cost over $2000.00 and that was if we pulled all the slash to where it they could access it easily. We instead cleaned the piles up around the house and waited for them to come back and burn the rest.
We cut 100's of trees off our property and paid local people who needed work to stack the logs until we can get them split.
I am in no way saying they should not clean it up but you may need to keep in mind some of these other things.
That is something I was forced to think of; I am paying a local college grad " as we speak".
One of my reasons, was to get ideas like calling Fire Rescue, which I have done as well - and wanted to give a shout out where deserved - to unconscious, self serving "neighbors", who only care about themselves.
