Elevator or the Stairs??

Just got to thinking about this last night. My office is on the 3rd floor and I almost always take the stairs instead of the elevator. Just curious at what point do you take the elevator over the stairs.

Personally I will normally take the stairs if it is 3 flights up or less. If it is 4 or more I will take the elevator.

More than 4, but if I have luggage with me though, I'll take the elevator sooner...

We have to take the elevator in our building. The doors from the stairs to the floors are locked except on the first floor. And I never have my key with me. But we can make it up on the elliptical in the workout room.

On second thought I think it comes down to a matter of time.
Than again I haven't worn a watch in almost 3 years, NO need. Took it off when I went to visit daughter in Maui, and never missed it...

My knees complain if I take the stairs too often. I can usually get away with one flight at a time but that's about it. (aging is such fun)

This is a matter of how I feel. Take Denver airport access to the train. If I'm tired the escalator will suffice. If loaded with baggage, elevator is a must. Conditions vary. If it's just me, I almost always take the stairs at a trot for the exercise, even as I've gotten older. Now days my cut off is 5 floors.

I hate to admit this. I am very claustrophobic and I hate elevators.
