My property borders the national forest. We were gonna golf yesterday but a beautiful lil songbird told me it was gonna rain so we stayed closer to home. After a grueling 1:15 wilderness walk from our doorstep we arrived at a secret ghost town I know of. I can't give you any details as to it's location because it's a secret, and we don't want the secluded and noremally inaccessable stretch of river invaded by 285bounders, in fact I can't even tell you which river it is.
But anyway, the berries are in friends..They're peaking today and tommarow..Incredibly sweet and a reder red you'll never see..I emptied 3 water bottles and filled two with rasberries the likes of which you've never tasted in your life. I mean there were so sweet and there was literally billions of them down there. If you knew where this place was you could literally get thousands of dollars worth of them for free. It was a hard walk to the secret area and for quick energy i'd make my own patended rasberry juice..Id drink half a water bottle, then add 35 soft ripe rasberries, then shake vigorously- the busted up berries settle to the bottom imeadiatly and you then pour the juice concentrate back into another half empty water bottle and put it in the cooler..I made about 8 bottles on the way down and it was literally the best juice I ever tasted, and it gave me so much energy on the uphill for almost 3 mile off trail hike home. I filled one bottle full of black currants, those are in too- Were making beer with those.. THe wild Hops are about two week away from peak-
Oh, I forgot the point of the thread..I'll sell the secret location for $100...The river there is chock full of fish..We caught 8, 6 rainbow, a cutthroat and a tiny brown..We saw many monsters and hooked one that got away..They are gourging on dragon fly's right now...
Crossons, Not a big secert.
Found lots of stuff in the trash piles, by the railroad base, towards Bailey.
Used to have part of a piano, in the old saloon, but the kids messed it up last time I was there all that was left was the strings...
Did ya come in by the river or by the NF road?
What a ghost town/Mill, try the ($50.00) near Grant.
