I'm helping a friend paint her house! I'm excited - I love painting, it's very therapeutic/calming for me. If anyone else has rooms in their house to paint, I'll happily come help - I especially love the detail work of taping and edging! :)

Tomorrow, I'll be with our Bound To Help Our Neighbors Group helping one of our community members in need repair damage in her kitchen. It's important to us here at 285Bound that we give back to our community, and I'm proud that we have begun what I hope will become one of our most important facets! Thank you to everyone who is helping out this weekend as well!

Then I'm going to a friend's house for a Girls Night Out/PartyLite candle party and treating myself to some well-deserved PartyLite candles! :sunshine:

Have a great weekend all!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Working then sleeping/ followed by more working and sleeping until I'm done analyzing and describing drill cuttings from 3,000-15,000 feet below the Rub' al Khali ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rub%27_al_Khali ) surface. It is fascinating.

cleaning house.....I know, BORING.....and catching up on the bills etc.
We don't do much on weekends, prefer to do errands on week days when it's not so busy. Being retired lets us do that!!!!

I am gathering and dragging sticks and dead trees down the back hillside in prep for next weekend = LAST SLASH DAY THIS YEAR
We had about 200-300 lodge pole pines taken out last fall and I am finally getting the last of the clean up done.

I am about 1/3 of the way through. I toss them onto a sacrificial tarp and drag them down the hill

I am also pulling any more thistle that I find along the way. With all the rain, it just seems to sprout up overnight!

I am pooped. Time for a cold one in the hammock.

I was family day for us on Mount Evans- all my family went up, and then ate a late lunch at the lodge.

Lots of mountain goats laying about and sunning.

I was deciding what to pack for the trip to Chile. None of it comes back so have to decide what I want to leave there besides jeans which are always appreciated.

We got rescheduled and now Chile is having more earthquakes so won't be surprised if we are delayed and rescheduled again.
