My Adirondack Chair Restoration Project

We've had these three chairs neglected living out in "nature" for a few years

My husband uses one of them to cool down when he gets back from a bike ride but that was it, there were forgotten.

UNTIL THIS WEEK!

So, on Monday, I dragged them up to the shop and got out the orbital sander

Once sanded, I used wood filler to fill in all the cracks on the arms, back and seat that had formed over the years of neglect and sanded again

Then I primed and painted them (the same color as the trim on our house)

The two on left are primed and painted and one on right is only primed.
Do you KNOW how many nooks and crannies there ARE on these chairs? geez...

and today, I used spray paint and painted these poppies on them with a stencil I had

I'll put one back for hubby and now, I just need to find a shady spot that will be used and put them out.

and (most importantly) find something cold and refreshing to drink and plop down in one of them

So I take it there was no lasting damage to the ankle after the janner lately.

I looooooove these and the poppies are gorgeous!!! Beautiful job. If they were to magically appear on my deck, it wouldn't hurt my feelings. Just sayin'.

no medical apparatus needed for the janner. Yesterday, I was really sore, but today, back in bizness!

Looking back on it; I think I only pulled a half-janner (with a twist) since I did not require any medical devices or office visit with a doctor (rolling his eyes). I think I would need all of that for a full-janner
