Anyone know the name of the 285bound MIRC chatroom

Here ya go....

This room can be accessed via any IRC client (mIRC, xchat, etc.). The server is irc.starchat.net, ports 6667-6669, 7000, the channel is #285bound (/join #285bound).

It can also be accessed thru Java at http://www.disastersupportvolunteers.co ... ndchat.htm . At the first Security Warning select Run, and at the second Security Warning select Yes (this application is NOT a security risk). Enter a nickname, preferably your 285bound nic, so we know who you are, and click the left icon at the bottom of the screen to enter the chat room.

If you do not have Java, or are not sure whether you do or not, go to http://www.java.com/en/ . There is an explanation of what Java is, a test to determine if you have it installed, and a free download link.

(edited to fix link)

"Does it really matter and what difference does it make?"

You mentioned it here. I was just asking who was behind it, since it's not affiliated with 285Bound.

From your response, it seems like you don't want that to be known.

I was curious since you you started the thread by saying you couldn't remember the name of it.

As I have a history of of getting caught up in unofficial website entities (I'm talking about the Pinecam Facebook fiasco), I was curious if the same people were behind this one.

Does anyone here know who is behind the unofficial #285Bound chat room?

Wayne, it is members of 285bound that started it. We started it and then were told 285bound didn't want to be affiliated with it.

Wayne, it is the same group that has kept IRC chatrooms active since you started them in 2002 ( I think it was). We saw the value of them then, and still do. It is difficult to state exactly who started it, as we work together as a group. Didn't mean to try to hide anything.

OK then. Thanks. I'm surprised Becky forgot the name of it, since it's the same as this website (285Bound), but then I can't remember where I left my car keys sometimes.

Ummmm I guess he can't remember that you have been in Texas taking care of your Mom, back here getting your business going again, daughter having a hard labor and new baby and one daughter missing. He has other things on his mind. You are forgiven Wayne but if you must know...I started the chat room.
