I'm seeing predictions for only an inch in Bailey.

Colder though. Hard to believe, but I need to get some firewood out of the garage for tomorrow, only in the 30s ?

Not starting the wood stove until its white on the ground though.

I've used this link for years, been pretty accurate for Bailey.

I wish they had a link to the weather as good ol' Marty said 7 to 9 inches

This is the best I can do sorry.

DENVER - Denver has set a new record high for April 1 at 84 degrees. It may go even warmer. RED FLAG WARNINGS for high fire danger continue Sunday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. for the southern foothills, including the Lower North Fork Fire area and many other locations, according to the Colorado weather forecast.

A Pacific storm system will move over the Front Range and Eastern Plains on Monday, bringing a 1 to 4 of new snow to the Front Range mountains and foothills and a rain/snow mix to the Denver area and other lower elevation locations.

9NEWS Meteorologist Marty Coniglio says that total precipitation will be light and any accumulation of snow at elevations below 6,500 feet will be mainly on grassy areas Monday.

Tuesday morning will be a little colder in the Denver area so Marty says that 1 to 2 inches of new snow on the grass is possible and snow will be falling during the morning commute. But it has been so warm lately that most of the snow falling on pavement will melt on contact.

Much heavier rain and snow is possible over the Front Range foothills, Douglas County, Eastern Plains and southeastern Colorado, where up to one full inch of liquid precipitation is possible from Monday morning through late Tuesday afternoon. Marty says this could translate into over 6 inches of new snowfall.

A WINTER STORM WATCH is in effect for late Monday into Tuesday for the southern mountains and adjacent plains for 2 to 8 inches of new snow.

Strong winds will also be a problem Monday with cold northerly winds at 20 to 30 mph and gusts to 55 mph over Northern Colorado and the eastern plains.

A HIGH WIND WARNING is in effect from 4 a.m. until noon Monday.

Saturday was a record setting day with a new mark of 81 degrees, besting the old record of 80 degrees last set in 1946.

March went down as the driest on record for Denver, with only a trace of snow back on the 7th. We typically see close to a foot of snow during this, our snowiest month on average. Total liquid precipitation for the month was only .03".

Drier, windy weather will return later in the week.

As dry as it has been for the last couple of weeks any moisture is welcome in my book! It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the weather prognosticators drastically under estimate the amount of rain and snow we are about to receive. I guess we will all have to wait and see what Mother Nature delivers and then we will know for sure.

I am worried about all of the residents going back in to their homes after being evacuated due to the Lower North Fork fire. What if there is just enough moisture to foul the roads with snow and ice but not enough to suppress the fire? Add in some wind and there is a dangerous situation in the early morning hours and possibly Monday night into Tuesday.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
