171 people voted in the Elk Creek Fire BOD election which is slightly more than one-half of one percent of the community (estimated). That being said, that is exactly what elections are all about. Those who made an effort to vote determined the outcome and every eligible voter that made the effort to come to the station and vote needs to be applauded for participating in the process. Congratulations to both Greg Branch and Alec Schwartz who won the election. I offer them nothing but my best wishes for a successful term.
