Slash Collection

There will be only one slash collection weekend in Conifer this year. It will be held at the Conifer High School on Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and17, from 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m.

If you are doing mitigation on your property; this is your chance to get rid of some of that slash.

Cost for a small pick-up truck loaded to the top of the bed is $5.00
Cost for a small pick-up truck loaded to the top of the cab is $8.00
Cost for a small pick-up truck loaded to above the top of the cab is $10.00


Cost for a large pick-up truck loaded to the top of the bed is $8.00
Cost for a large pick-up truck loaded to the top of the cab is $10.00
Cost for a large pick-up truck loaded to above the top of the cab is $12.00

Cost for a single axle trailer is $10.00
Cost for a double axle trailer is $15.00

Cost for a dump truck loaded cab high is $20.00
Cost for a dump truck loaded to above the top of the cab is $25.00

Elk Creek Members: If you have slash, bring it. If you don’t please volunteer to help your neighbors unload. We’re anticipating a large turn out and will need all the help we can get. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Thanks for posting. I offered to help a family in the Pleasant Park area collect their slash but they didn't know when there would be a slash collection so nothing has been done. Will have to see if we can get something done.

We have been working on ours for the last few days so we can get it hauled out of here. I'm just sorry that there is only one week-end of this in Conifer..... We could DEFINITELY use more....

AGREED! MR. we've been working ours for a long time we have the truck full (packed now, and a large slash pile to go more com'in today. Don't know why the decided to only do a couple of pick-up this year but I'm bummed. Did 12-16 trucks packed last year, had a lot of trees downed in the huge wind storm we had.

It's a D----d shame that Park County doesn't do this, it seems to me that this year it MIGHT just pay for it's self?!

No kidding. With all the fires, this would be a good time for slash to removed and not have to drive to the only close slash collection in Conifer this year.

If the Commissioners want residents to mitigate, they could help the process.

Yes, MR. I agree, they used to do it a while back,can't remember when the last one was, but maybe you're paying for the fire service now, though taxes. It is a long way, but it's worth it, we will also, go to the one at Maraposia (sp?) in August.

Where is that located TPP? i think it was back about 3-4yrs. ago when the Cnty. Commish"s decided that is FAR to expensive to it and that's also about the time they stopped doing the "trash days" down by the loaf and jug...
