Early Monday morning, a law enforcement source working the fire confirmed with 7NEWS that "shooting explosive targets" was the cause of the fire. Though, U.S. Forest Service spokesman Greg Goodland also said there was a lot of lightning in the area on Saturday.

The cause of still under investigation according to Goodland.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

Very scary stuff. I was shooting at some tannerite targets one afternoon and started a fire even though there had been snow on the ground that morning. The wind had dried everything out in a couple hours.
