The waldo fire is experiencing another wind event similar to yesterday.

Scanner is reporting a massive wall of flame in the Blodgett Ranch Dr area.
Firefighters have been aggressively moved back and will re-engage after fire wall passes.

Very scary listening to scanner right now.

Anyone know if 67 is still open if I were to come at it from Cripple Creek? I heard Woodland Park is under pre-evac notice.

Some of Woodland Park is under mandatory evac.
I believe 67 is open. I cannot find any information that says it is closed.

Thanks - headed that way now, but I'm a couple of hours out - still on top of Cheyenne Mountain.

Damn, raining here. Hear it is raining at I-25 and Castle Pines but I don't think it is too much farther south but it is windy bad in the springs.

Thanks, Becky. There was no question of staying safe. Just wondering if the highway was still open. I really feel like crap though. I was there when this fire blew up and even saw homes going up in flames. There was nothing that could have stopped it, but I feel like there should have been something. Please forgive me for doubting the existence of god right now.

TM....this is the worst fire I have ever seen in CO. Th edevastation is so complete that it is really hardto wrap your head around it all
I can't remember a time when I personally have felt more vulnerable thanI have this summer.
I am glad you are safe. I have thought about you a lot since your last post. I was also in the Springs the day this started.

North Fork is working a fire in the Hayman burn area as we speak. Missed the location this am.
Please stay safe everyone and keep your eyes open for smoke or suspicious people or cars.

That's a lot of smoke. The EPA should fine it for putting up so much smoke. :)

Seriously, I am tired of hacking from all the smoke. Tonight I think this is from the fire by Deckers.
