Live in DCVR and started hearing gun shots, followed them back toward Harris Park but when I get in the valley I can't tell where they are coming from.

If you have a moran neighbor please report them to Park County Sheriff.

I really hope to see some of the subdivisions start posting at all entrances that there is a fire ban.

Come on people this is not rocket science.

I am just amazed by some of the behavior I hear.
I wanted to mow our grass today but called in to check.
Mowers are prohibited.
With as many fires as were reported yesterday and today....how does one not know there is a problem.

Becky I am surpised you have grass ours has all died but it is on a slope so no water holds when we do get it.

Shots have been quiet for a bit now but if they start up again hubby and I are on a mission.

We will not approach them should we find them they have guns we are not stupid.

Not wanting to be an ass but hey it is my home too.

You can call USFS and see if they will send an LEO out to advise suspected target shooters.
But at this time shooting is allowed in the national forest.

I wanted to get the dead grass that was high mowed down. It is a fire hazard.
We will just have to find a different way.
The grass in front is still somewhat green. Plenty of dirt there to help sustain it a bit.i suspect it will be a dead soon if we don't get rain.

Or go get a couple of goats and fence em in the areas that you want to defoliate. Faster than Agent Orange and organic! On the down side, goats will eat just about anything and once the weeds and grass are gone the siding on your house and anything else they can get a hold of is at risk.

Seriously though, you could get a cordless electric weed whacker and go until you need to recharge. Some of the super-D-lux models come with two batteries so then you could go twice as far before you had to wait for a charged battery.

If my little brother and the National Weather Service are to be believed, it's too hot and too dry to ignore fire mitigation around anyone's home. Stay safe and take care!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
